Project: Virtual and Augmented Reality Learning Community
DP&S Liaison: Todd Suomela
Date: Fall 2017
Virtual and augmented reality is growing in popularity for both consumers and academics. The release of new equipment, such as the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and Microsoft Hololens, over the past five years has decreased the cost of VR/AR equipment. Lower costs mean that schools like Bucknell can make investments in VR/AR at low risk and potentially high reward. DP&S worked with faculty to lead a learning community to investigate the uses of VR/AR at Bucknell.
